Woodsy Engagement Photos in Northern California
The Redwoods are known for being some of the tallest living tree species and it’s a must-have engagement location. With over 75 miles of trails, there are plenty of quiet, secluded spots for your engagement photos.
Creekside Engagement Photos in Fern Canyon
Fern Canyon: a great location near the Redwood’s state park! This is a cool spot if you are wanting waterside photos taken like Sierah and Andrew did.
Dogs Allowed: Unfortunately, no
Permits: Permits are required to visit the Gold Bluffs & Fern Canyon Trailhead from May 15th to September 15th. I highly recommend planning ahead and getting your permit in advance, here.
The Trinidad Beaches: Northern California Engagement Photos
Trinidad: There are miles of shore here and a perfect way to end your engagement session in the Redwood forest.
Parking: There is always plenty of parking (as long as it’s not crab season, which is in November).
Dogs Allowed: Yes!
I love when couples choose to do something that represents their relationship during an engagement shoot, and for Sierrah and Andrew, that was bringing their dog along to join the adventure.
Here’s an easy packing checklist to get ready before bringing your dog to your engagement shoot:
Your dogs favorite treats
A neutral colored leash
A neutral colored collar
Water
A lint roller
Everytime I visit the Redwoods, I am just blown away. It was so cool getting to hang out with Sierrah and Andrew while documenting their engagement photos. Ready to book with a Humboldt Photographer that is familiar with the area? Secure your date, here!
