When your friends tell you they’re getting engaged, it’s incredible. When your friends tell you they want you to shoot their wedding, you lose your shit. That’s basically what I did (metaphorically). I’ve known Jordan for the better part of the last 15 years and I’ve known Gillian for close to 10. Throughout the years they’ve become two of my closest friends and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of their wedding. Jordan and Gillian had such an intimate and emotional Joshua Tree elopement, and it was such a beautiful day and an honor to capture these special moments for both of them. They really wanted a weekend in the desert, but also wanted their actual elopement to be very intimate with just the two of them tucked away, so that’s exactly what they did!

There were so many things to love about Gillian and Jordan’s elopement. I loved how intimate and emotional the day was. There were so many tears, but they were all good tears. Aside from the emotions, it was one of the most stylish events while maintaining beautiful simplicity to keep it from being overdone. The morning was spent writing vows and getting ready for their intimate ceremony. They had a boho rug for their ceremony along with simple yet beautiful boho centerpieces. After their ceremony, they shared a drink along with a fruit and cheese tray and enjoyed a toast with their close family and friends. We then ventured off to get some bride and groom portraits with the natural beauty of the Joshua Trees as the backdrop!
